Our Story
We both spent our entire lives in Friesland, always dreaming that one day we would start over in another country. A place where life felt slower, where we could live outdoors, surrounded by peace and nature. And a place we could share with others.

That dream led us across Europe, searching for the feeling of “this is where we truly belong.” Time and again, we found ourselves returning to Italy.
In September, we began house hunting in the Abruzzo region. The combination of mountains and sea, authentic villages, untouched nature, and a beautiful climate instantly captured our hearts. It was everything we had been looking for.
When we stepped into this house for the second time, we simply knew: this is our home.
After an exciting period of negotiations, we completed the purchase in June 2025.
And that is how Villa Frysia was born, a name that honors our Frisian roots.
The Villa & Holiday Apartment
Villa Frysia offers a spacious holiday apartment for up to 5 guests, created to share the peace and beauty that made us fall in love with this place.
The property is set on a generous plot with a large garden and adjoining woodland. Around the house you’ll find several terraces, a full-width patio, and a tiered garden with olive and fruit trees.
From here, you can enjoy panoramic views of the Majella mountains and the authentic Italian village of Arielli a landscape that invites you to slow down and breathe.
